Are More US Banks Going To Fail?

Welcome to the BTC Lighthouse report.

In this report, I discuss:

  • The risk of US bank failures
  • Bitcoin ETF inflows resume

BTC Lighthouse Temperature

Bitcoin's price is back above $60k. The BTC Lighthouse temperature increased slightly and remains in the Neutral zone.

Bitcoin Performance

With its current price drop, Bitcoin is underperforming the performance of NVIDIA, the AI superstar, but it outperforms all other asset classes.

Risk Of US Bank Failures Resurfaces

Hundreds of small and regional banks across the U.S. are feeling stressed.

“You could see some banks either fail or at least, you know, dip below their minimum capital requirements,” Christopher Wolfe, managing director and head of North American banks at Fitch Ratings, told CNBC.

The FED's high-interest rate environment means it faces the threat of US bank failures like we saw in the past.

In my 24th April report, War And The Bitcoin Price, I show that Bitcoin has behaved like a safe-haven asset for investors during all past bank crises, and the price has increased.

Bitcoin ETF Inflows Resume

Bitcoin ETF flows showed positive inflows for the first time since mid-March. However, it's too soon to say if the demand is back.

Summary

It's been another slow week for Bitcoin, with a clear lack of direction. The macro-environment and Bitcoin are in the neutral zone.

Though inflation risks remain on the horizon, Bitcoin seems to be taking a breather before testing higher prices.
